Mount - Clevis - Front Drive Unit - LH - Remove And Replace: Procedure

  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Raise and support vehicle
    NOTE: Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads

  4. Open hood

  110. Install LH halfshaft into drive unit
    NOTE: Carefully push the halfshaft into the drive unit until there is an audible "click" from the halfshaft stub contacting the pinion shaft, There will be a slight pulling sensation on the halfshaft as the halfshaft circlip locks into place, Pull on the inner halfshaft cup to confirm that the circlip is locked into place. If the halfshaft detaches from the drive unit then reinstall the halfshaft and then test that it is fully seated

  111. Install LH front halfshaft into hub and bearing assembly and secure nut and washer hand tight
    NOTE: 1x nut, 1x washer, 32 mm, 245 N.m, Torque at later step. Use the nut without the washer to pull the shaft through hub, Then remove nut and install the washer and nut. Do not use power tools, The risk of stripping the threads is very high.
