Steering Rack (RHD Dual Motor) (1st Generation) - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the front subframe. See Subframe Assembly - Front (1st Generation) (Dual Motor) (Remove and Install) .
  2. Remove the stabilizer bar from the subframe.

  3. Remove the LH tie rod end.
    NOTE: Count the number of turns and remember for installation.

  4. Remove RH tie rod end.
    NOTE: Count the number of turns and remember for installation.

  5. Remove the bolts (x2) (torque 175 N.m) that attach the steering rack assembly to the subframe.
    NOTE: Record the positions of any shims.
