Module - Passive Safety Restraint - PSRCM - Remove And Replace: Removal
- Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power .
- Remove the LH center console closeout extension See Assembly - Closeout Extension - LH - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH center console closeout extension.
- Remove the bolts (x3) that secure the air suspension ECU mounting bracket to the body (torque metal bracket 8 N.m; plastic bracket 2 N.m), and then lift the bracket up for access.WARNING: Make sure LV is disconnected before continuing to the next step.NOTE: The horizontal bolt might be obscured by an acoustic pad. If it is, carefully move the acoustic pad aside for access. Pull the ECU mounting bracket towards the rear of the vehicle to release the tab from the bulkhead. Do not remove the ECU.
- RHD vehicles only: remove the central body controller - BCM (RHD). See Module - Body Controller - BCM (1st Generation) (RHD) (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect the passive safety restraint control module (PSRCM) connectors (x2), and then move the connectors aside.NOTE: Disconnect the rearward connector first, and then disconnect the remaining connector. To disconnect, press on the lock tab while pivoting the catch release until an audible click is heard.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the connector side of the PSRCM to the body (torque 10 N.m).
- Remove the remaining bolts (x2) that attach the PSRCM to the body.
- Remove the PSRCM from the vehicle.
