Center Console Assembly - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the drop in center console assembly, if installed, refer to DROP IN CENTER CONSOLE ASSEMBLY (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Remove the under-screen cubby.
  3. Remove the LH center console closeout extension, refer to ASSEMBLY - CLOSEOUT EXTENSION - LH - CENTER CONSOLE (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  4. Remove the RH center console closeout extension.
  5. Move the driver's seat fully forward.
  6. Remove the rear center console trim, refer to TRIM - CENTER CONSOLE - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  7. Remove the fasteners (x2) that secure the rear end of the center console chassis to the body (torque 10 N.m).

  8. Working in the footwell areas, remove the bolt that secures each side of the center console to the instrument panel carrier (torque 2.5 N.m).

  9. Release the clips (x4) that secure the center console base closing trim.
    CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).
    CAUTION: Replace any broken clips.

  10. Remove the center console base closing panel.
  11. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the center console base to the body (torque 3 N.m).
  12. Remove the driver side footwell bolt that secures the center console to the dash. Repeat this step for the passenger footwell bolt.
  13. Release the fasteners (x2) that secure the console to the crosscar beam (torque 3 N.m), then release the center console from the adhesive pads (x6) and move rearward to access the console wiring harness.

  14. Release the fir tree clip that secures the 12V electrical connector to the center console.
  15. Disconnect the harness connectors (x4).
  16. Move the driver's seat fully rearward.
  17. Remove the center console from the vehicle.
