Rack Boot Removal and Installation: Installation

Apply grease to steering gear case and tie-rod "A" indicated in figure.
Position boot properly in grooves of steering gear case and gear case and tie-rod.

After this, check to ensure that boot is free from twist and dent.

"A": Grease 99000-25050 (SUZUKI Super Grease E)

Fasten new band (1) using special tool and install clip (2).

Install tie-rod end, see TIE-ROD END REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install steering gear case assembly, see STEERING GEAR CASE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install front suspension frame, see FRONT SUSPENSION FRAME REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
