Transfer Oil Level Check

  1. Hoist vehicle.
  2. Remove right and left engine under covers, and check oil leakage. If leakage exists, correct it.
  3. Remove transfer oil level/filler plug (1), check for oil contamination, and that the oil is just below the oil level/filler plug hole (2).

    If oil is excessively dirty or insufficient, replace oil or pour specified oil up to plug hole.

  4. Apply sealant to thread of level/filler plug, and then tighten it to specified torque.

    "A": Sealant 99000-31260 (SUZUKI Bond No. 1217G) 

    Tightening torque 

    Transfer oil level/filler plug (a): 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lbf-ft)
