EVAP Leak Check Pressure Sensor (Combine with BARO Sensor) On-Vehicle Inspection: Notes
CAUTION:
Make sure that connection is made between correct terminals. Wrong connection can cause damage to EVAP leak check pressure sensor in EVAP leak check module.
Initial (barometric) pressure check
- With ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF", connect special tool between ECM and ECM connectors. For connecting procedure, refer to Step 1) and 2) of "Voltage Check" under INSPECTION OF ECM AND ITS CIRCUITS .
- Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
- Check EVAP leak check pressure sensor output voltage (barometric pressure signal voltage) between "E01-8" terminal and ground, according to the following table.
EVAP leak check pressure sensor output voltage for initial (barometric) pressure at 20 - 30 °C (68 - 86 °F))

If sensor output voltage is out of specification, check wire harness and connections.
If check results of the wire harness and connections are OK, replace EVAP leak check module and EVAP canister as assembly.
If output voltage is within specified value, perform "REFERENCE VACUUM PRESSURE (REFERENCE ORIFICE VACUUM) CHECK ".
