CVT Basic Check

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

This check is important for troubleshooting when TCM has detected no DTC and no abnormality has been noted in Visual Inspection . Follow the flow carefully.

SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS DESCRIPTION CHART

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "CVT System Check" preformed?  Go to Step 2. Go to CVT SYSTEM CHECK .
2  Stall test 
  1. Perform stall test .

Is it OK? 		 Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.
3  Time lag test 
  1. Perform time lag test .

Is it OK? 		 Go to Step 5. Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.
4  Line pressure test 
  1. Perform line pressure test .

Is it OK? 		 Go to Step 6. Repair or replace defective parts, and go to Step 6.
5  CVT symptom diagnosis 
Is trouble symptom identified? 		 Refer to items in CVT SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS , repair or replace defective parts. Go to Step 6.
6  Road test 
  1. Perform road test .

Is it OK? 		 CVT system is in good condition. Return to Step 1.
