DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Action	YES	NO
1	CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE Perform "DTC check". Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (AT) ]. Is a malfunction in the CAN communication indicated in the results?	Check CAN communication line. Refer to DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE .	GO TO 2.
2	CHECK DTC WITH TCM With SDT Turn ignition switch ON. (Do not start engine.) Select "ECU INPUT SIGNALS" in "Data list" mode for "AT" with SDT. Depress accelerator pedal and read out the value of "ACCELE POSI". Select "DTC check" mode for "AT" with SDT. Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (AT) ]. Is the inspection result normal?	GO TO 4.	GO TO 3.
3	CHECK DTC WITH ECM With SDT Turn ignition switch ON. (Do not start engine.) Select "DTC check" mode for "Engine / Powertrain" with SDT. Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (ENGINE / POWERTRAIN) ] (QR25DE) or [SDT FUNCTION (ENGINE / POWERTRAIN) ] (VQ40DE). Is the inspection result normal?	GO TO 4.	Check the DTC detected item. Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (ENGINE / POWERTRAIN) ] (QR25DE) or [SDT FUNCTION (ENGINE / POWERTRAIN) ] (VQ40DE).
3		GO TO 4.	If CAN communication line is detected, go to [DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE ].
4	CHECK DTC Perform "DTC Confirmation Procedure". Refer to [DTC Confirmation Procedure ]. Is the inspection result normal?	INSPECTION END	GO TO 5.
5	CHECK TCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT Check TCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to [MAIN POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK ]. Is the inspection result normal?	GO TO 6.	Repair or replace damaged parts.
6	DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM Check the following. The A/T assembly harness connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. Is the inspection result normal?	Replace the control valve with TCM. Refer to [CONTROL VALVE WITH TCM AND A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2: ON-VEHICLE REPAIR ].	Repair or replace damaged parts.
