Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the cylinder pipes for the following items, replace as necessary:
    • Cracks
    • Dents
    • Damage to the threads
  2. Lubricate and install the new O-rings seals onto the cylinder pipes.

  3. Position the steering gear pipe (1) to the steering gear. Loosely install the steering gear pipe fittings (2).

  4. Position the steering gear pipe (1) to the steering gear. Loosely install the steering gear pipe fittings (2).
    CAUTION:

    Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  5. Tighten the steering gear pipe fittings

    Tightening torque 

    Tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
