Monitor Strategy Description

The purpose is to detect leaks in the EVAP System. The determination of the leakage diameter is done during EVAP System monitoring. The Error is detected as soon as the leakage diameter is within certain limits (hard error).

Different between "Large Leak" and "Fuel Cap Missing":

In case of "large leak" a small vacuum can be generated. The pressure can drop under the pressure threshold of "Fuel Cap Missing". If the pressure drops under this threshold but do not reach target under pressure for diagnosis, "Large Leak" is detected.
