DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

DTC detecting condition Trouble area
DTC will set when either of the following conditions is detected.
  • Engine coolant temp. variation is less than specified value.
  • Engine coolant temp. fails to reach such level even though engine was running for specified time after engine start.

(2 driving cycle detecting logic)
  • ECT sensor
  • ECT sensor circuit
  • Thermostat
  • ECM
