Front Axle Lock / Unlock Control

The 4WD control module actuates the axle lock actuator motor on the front differential assembly. It causes the axle lock clutch and the free axle hub in the differential case assembly to be engaged (locked) detecting the 4H/4L position of the transfer or disengaged (unlocked) detecting the 2H/N position of the transfer.
