Malfunction Criteria

If Vehicle speed < 3 kph/s

AND Vehicle Acceleration < -6 kph/s

THEN for calibrated time > 3 sec.

Check that Brake Lamp is ON = ON (1)

AND Brake lamp transition Occurred = TRUE (1)

If both occur,

decrease fail count.

ELSE

Increase fail count.
