DTC Confirmation Test

Ensure intake air temperature is 6.8°F (-14°C) or more, vehicle is at an altitude of 6650 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 72 kPa or more. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect SUZUKI scan tool or equivalent to DLC. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and allow it to idle for 10 seconds. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC P0113 resets, see DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE .
