DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure engine coolant temperature is 86°F (30°C) or less when engine is first started. Start engine and allow engine coolant temperature to increase to 167-230°F (75-110°C) and intake air temperature to increase to 140°F (60°C). Drive vehicle at speeds of more than 35 MPH for 3 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow engine to idle for 3 minute or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC P0111.
