DTC P0118: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects high Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) voltage. MIL is illuminated when PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Possible causes are:

• Open or short to power in circuit between ECT sensor and PCM.
• ECT sensor malfunction.
• PCM malfunction.
