DTC P0117: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects low ECT voltage. MIL is illuminated when PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Possible causes are:

• Shot to ground in circuit between Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor and PCM.
• ECT sensor malfunction.
• PCM malfunction.
