DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Turn ignition off. Ensure engine coolant temperature is less than 86°F (30°C). If engine coolant temperature is 86°F (30°C) or more, allow engine to cool before proceeding. Start engine and allow it to run for 10 minutes or more. Check for DTC P0111. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
