Removal & Installation

  1. Ensure engine is cool before removing Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 (HO2S1). Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove exhaust manifold cover. Unplug HO2S1 harness connector. Remove HO2S1 from manifold.
  2. To install HO2S1, coat threads with anti-seize compound. Tighten HO2S1 to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect negative battery cable. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. After installing HO2S1, start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
