Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. On Sidekick and X-90, remove driver's seat and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S2) harness access plug from floor pan. On Esteem, remove center console. On all models, raise and support vehicle. Unplug harness connector and remove HO2S2 from exhaust pipe.
  2. To install HO2S2, coat threads with anti-seize compound. Tighten HO2S2 to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect negative battery cable. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. After installing HO2S2, start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
