Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Check system related fuses. Replace fuses as necessary. Locate circuit breaker. See Figure . Ensure battery voltage is present at both circuit breaker terminals. If voltage does not exist at either terminal, inspect and repair circuit as needed. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Remove power window main switch. Using voltmeter, ensure voltage is present at harness connector Blue wire (Esteem) or Blue/White wire (Sidekick and X90). If voltage does not exist, inspect and repair circuit as needed.
  3. If voltage exists, ensure continuity exists between switch harness connector Black wire and vehicle ground. If continuity exists, replace power window main switch. If continuity does not exist, inspect and repair circuit as needed.
