DTC 71: Abs Control Module Internal Malfunction

NOTE: This DTC will be set if an internal fault is detected in ABS control module. This DTC will also be set when an ABS control module for a 2WD vehicle is installed in a 4WD vehicle.

Turn ignition off and disconnect ABS control module 16-pin harness connector E22 and 26-pin harness connector E23. Ensure both connectors are free from corrosion, damage and pushed-out pins. Repair as necessary. If connectors are okay, substitute known-good ABS control module and repeat test.
