Driver's Side Air Bag Inflator Module: Installation

1. Inspect air bag inflator module for cracked deployment cover, damaged harness or evidence of physical damage (module dropped etc.).
2. Route inflator module harness neatly on back of module. See Fig 1 . Ensure horn wire fits into rib. Route inflator module and horn wires from clockspring through steering wheel. See Fig 2 .
3. Fit inflator module on steering wheel and install mounting bolts. Ensure inflator module is aligned. Tighten inflator module bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Reconnect negative battery cable. Enable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
