Activating System

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position and AIR BAG fuse is removed. Ensure all air bag system components are correctly installed.
  2. Reconnect passenger side inflator module harness connector. Reconnect driver side inflator module harness connector. Ensure connector lock lever is engaged.
  3. Install glove box and steering wheel access cover. Re-install AIR BAG fuse to original location. Turn ignition on. Verify AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times (6 times on Esteem) then goes out. If warning light does not operate as described, perform air bag system check. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
