Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Notes

NOTE: EGR valve on Sidekick 1.8L is a stepper motor type and is controlled entirely by PCM. See DTC P0400 in appropriate BASIC TESTING - 1.8L article. Since many computer -controlled and monitored components set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) if they malfunction, also perform procedures in TESTS W/CODES - 1.8L article for diagnostic procedures.
