Description & Operation
The power window system consists of 4 motors or actuators (one mounted on window regulator for each door), a master switch (located on driver's door trim panel), a center console switch assembly (controls rear windows only) and 3 individual window switches (located on passenger's door and both rear door trim panels). SeeFig 1 .
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, battery voltage is applied to all window switches. The master switch has a lock-out function to prevent unwanted operation of all power window switches (except driver's side main switch) by providing ground for all switches and motors. The master switch also contains a solid-state auto-down circuit for the driver's window and a POWER ON indicator light.
