Fuel Rails & Injectors (MFI): Installation

1. Install NEW grommets and "O" rings on injectors. Coat NEW "O" rings with thin coat of fuel. See Fig 1 . Install injectors on fuel rail. Ensure injectors rotate smoothly on fuel rail. If injectors do not rotate smoothly, check for binding "O" ring.
2. Install insulators in cylinder head. Install fuel rail with injectors. Install and tighten fuel rail mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
3. Check for fuel leaks. With engine off, turn ignition to ON position for 2-3 seconds to activate fuel pump. Repeat until pressure can be felt in fuel hose. Check for fuel leaks around connections. Repair fuel leaks if necessary.
