BRAKELIGHT Switch

  1. Disconnect brakelight switch electrical connector and remove switch from bracket. Check for continuity as follows: With brakelight switch plunger released (extended), continuity should exist between switch connector terminals No. 1 and 2. SeeFig 1 . With brakelight switch plunger depressed (retracted), continuity should not exist between switch connector terminals No. 1 and 2.
  2. With brakelight switch plunger released (extended), continuity should not exist between switch connector terminals No. 3 and 4. SeeFig 1 . With brakelight switch plunger depressed (retracted), continuity should exist between switch connector terminals No. 3 and 4.
