Steering Column: Installation

  1. Insert column through floorboard into "U" joint. Install upper bracket retaining bolts. Install steering column floorboard bracket bolts.
  2. Tighten column bracket nuts to specification. Tighten "U" joint pinch bolt. Tighten column floorboard bracket bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at the end of this article. Connect all electrical connectors.
