Installation (All Models)

  1. Install NEW throttle body base gasket on intake manifold. Install throttle body. Tighten throttle body mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  2. Connect fuel feed pipe with NEW "O" ring. Tighten fuel feed pipe bolts to specification. Connect fuel return line to fuel pressure regulator (Samurai and Sidekick TBI). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Refill cooling system. Connect negative battery cable.
  3. Turn ignition on, engine off. This will activate fuel pump. Check for fuel leaks. Adjust accelerator cable, A/T kickdown cable (if equipped) and throttle position sensor. See ADJUSTMENTS article.
