Installation (Swift SOHC)

  1. Install new throttle body base gasket on intake manifold. Install throttle body. Torque throttle body mounting bolts to 13-20 ft. lbs. (18-27 N.m).
  2. Connect fuel feed pipe with new "O" ring. Torque fuel feed pipe bolts to 71-106 INCH lbs. (8.0-11.9 N.m).
  3. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Refill cooling system. Connect negative battery cable. Check for fuel leaks. With fuel pump relay connected, install a jumper wire between fuel pump relay Pink and White/Blue wires. Fuel pump relay is located in main fuse box, near battery. See Figure .
  4. Turn ignition on, engine off. This will activate fuel pump. Adjust accelerator cable, A/T kickdown cable (if equipped) and throttle switch (Swift SOHC M/T). See ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
