Mixture Heater Relay (Sidekick A/T)

  1. Relay is attached to forward end of relay panel, near right shock tower in engine compartment. Remove mixture heater relay with connector connected. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM connector "A".
  2. At relay connector, check for battery voltage on all terminals except White wire terminal. If battery voltage is not present on all terminals except White wire terminal, check appropriate circuit for short of open condition.
  3. Disconnect relay connector. Energize relay by applying battery voltage to Light Green/Red wire terminal and ground to White/Green wire terminal. With relay energized, check continuity between White/Black and White wire terminals. If there is no continuity, replace relay.
