Throttle Position Sensor

To inspect throttle position sensor and throttle switch, disconnect negative battery cable and TPS connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between indicated terminals. See the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. See Fig 1 . If adjustment is required, see ADJUSTMENTS article in this section.
