Throttle Position Sensor (TPS): Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug TPS wiring harness coupler.
    NOTE: If TPS is being replaced, wiring may have to be removed from coupler. Note wire colors and placement before removal.
  2. If wiring is being removed from coupler, unlock terminal locks and pull TPS wiring harness from coupler. See Fig 1 . Remove mounting bolts and remove TPS from throttle body.
