Remove, Overhaul & Install: Remove/Install/Overhaul: Injectors: Installation

  1. Apply thin coat of fuel to new injector "O" rings. Install "O" rings on injector. Insert injector into throttle body. Carefully install wiring harness to injector.
  2. Apply thread locking compound to mounting screws and install injector cover. Tighten screws to 17 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Connect fuel feed pipe with new "O" ring. Tighten fuel feed pipe bolts to 71-106 INCH lbs. (8-12 N.m).
  3. To check for fuel leaks, plug in connector "A" to control relay. Ensure ignition is off. Connect jumper wire between Pink/Black and Black/White wires of relay. See Figure . Turn ignition on, with engine off. This will activate fuel pump.
  4. Check for fuel leaks at throttle body. If no leaks, install air intake case.
