Rear Finisher Assembly: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the trim panel assembly rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE TRIM>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the cover rear gate. (Model without power rear gate) Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>REAR GATE>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the power rear gate touch sensor. (Model with power rear gate) Ref. to POWER REAR GATE SYSTEM>POWER REAR GATE TOUCH SENSOR>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the motor assembly rear wiper. Ref. to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS>REAR WIPER MOTOR>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the garnish assembly rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE GARNISH>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the finisher assembly rear.
    1. Release the nuts, clips, and pins, then remove the finisher assembly rear.
