Steering Wheel: Assembly

CAUTION: Securely install the switch and the cover steering wheel LWR. Improper insertion of the pins or claws of the switch and the cover steering wheel LWR may cause improper installation.

NOTE: This procedure shows the model with steering heater.

Install the satellite switch assembly.
Install the steering control module. (Model with steering heater)
Install the adapter cord. (Model with steering heater)
Install the steering heater switch. (Model with steering heater)

Install the cover steering wheel LWR.

Using new double-sided tape, attach the heater element bisymmetrically. (Model with steering heater)

CAUTION:

Attach the heater element to the cover steering wheel LWR so that it is not twisted or does not interfere with switches.
Using a spatula or the like, attach the heater element without damaging it.
Be careful not to allow the heater element to be caught in steering frame, unit and the cover steering wheel LWR.

Preparation items:

Double-sided tape: NITTO DENKO No. 512 or equivalent

Install the cover steering wheel LWR.

CAUTION: Be careful of the steering heater switch harness (a) routing as it varies depending on the steering heater switch shape (with or without notch). (Model with steering heater)

Connect each connector. (Model with steering heater)
Install the connectors clips. (Model with steering heater)
Install the screws on the back side of the steering wheel.

Install the cover spoke.
