  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Central Gateway]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Read the DTC of [Central Gateway] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to CENTRAL GATEWAY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

Is DTC B1730 displayed? (Current code)

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No:  Go to  4.

  2. CHECK ACC POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the central gateway Control Module.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
    4. Measure the voltage between central gateway Control Module connector and chassis ground.

      Connector & terminal

      (i88) No. 2 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

Is the voltage 9 V or more?

Yes:  Replace the central gateway Control Module. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>CENTRAL GATEWAY CONTROL MODULE .

    No:  Go to  3.

  3. CHECK ACC RELAY OUTPUT  .

Measure the voltage between F/B No. 9 fuse terminal and chassis ground. (When ACC is ON)

    Connector & terminal

    F/B No. 9 fuse terminal (+) - Chassis ground (-):

Is the voltage 9 V or more?

Yes:  Repair the harness between the central gateway Control Module and fuse.

    No:  Check ACC relay circuit.

  4. CHECK THE CONDITIONS OF CONNECTOR CONNECTION (CENTRAL GATEWAY CONTROL MODULE)  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check the conditions of central gateway Control Module connector connection, and check the terminals for contact pressure, deformation, and intrusion of water or foreign substance.

Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact at the relevant terminals?

Yes:  Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.

    No:  Go to  5.

  5. CHECK THE CONDITIONS OF CONNECTOR CONNECTION (Relay & fuse box (F/B))  .

Check the connecting condition of connector in Relay & fuse box (F/B) and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matter.

Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact at the relevant terminals?

Yes:  Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.

No:  Check the conditions of Relay & fuse box (F/B) connector connection from the battery, and check the terminals for contact pressure, deformation, and intrusion of water or foreign substance.
