Front Differential: Disassembly

NOTE: When replacing the side bearing, always replace it together with inner race and outer race.

Remove the side bearing inner race using ST1, ST2 and a vise.
CAUTION: Place aluminum plates or wooden pieces between the contacting surfaces of the vise and differential case to prevent differential case damage.

NOTE: Perform this procedure only when required.

ST1: PULLER ASSY (399703600)

ST2: SEAT (398497701)

Using the ST, remove the spring pin.

Remove the following parts.

Pinion shaft
Differential bevel pinion
Differential bevel gear
Thrust washer
