DTC P26F0: Starter Relay "A" Stuck On: Notes
DTC detecting condition:
Immediately at fault recognition
Trouble symptom:
Auto Start Stop does not operate.
CAUTION:
Use the check board when measuring the ECM terminal voltage and resistance. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>PREPARATION TOOL>HOW TO USE CHECK BOARD
.
NOTE:
After the faulty parts are repaired or replaced, perform the final check in Basic Diagnostic Procedure. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE
.
Wiring diagram:
Engine Electrical System Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM>ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Model without push button start
- Model with push button start
- CHECK STARTER RELAY
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Remove the starter relay.
- Measure the resistance between starter relay terminals.
Connector & terminal
No. 1 - No. 3:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes: Replace the starter relay. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>STARTER RELAY .
No: Go to 2.
- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM CONNECTOR AND STARTER RELAY (SHORT TO GROUND)
.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance between the ECM connector and engine ground.
Connector & terminal
(B62) No. 2 - Engine ground:
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?
Yes: Check for poor contact of ECM connector. Replace the ECM if no fault is found. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
No: Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between ECM connector and starter relay.
