Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the mirror repair.
    CAUTION: When removing the mirror repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror repair with a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.
    1. Push the top of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces upward.
    2. Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.

    3. Push the bottom of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces downward.
    4. Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.

    5. Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)
  3. Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower hooks may become damaged.

  4. Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.

  5. Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the screws and then remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.
