Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly

CAUTION: When removing the mirror repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror repair with a flat tip screwdriver.
  1. Operate the remote control mirror switch to face the mirror repair inside.
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the mirror repair.
    1. Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror repair outward to remove.

    2. Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)

  4. Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the cover cap outer mirror, as the lower hooks may become damaged.

  5. Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror lower.

  6. Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and then remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.

  7. Remove the light assembly side turn mirror. (Model with side turn signal light)
    1. Remove the screws and pull out the light assembly side turn mirror to the front of the vehicle.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the light assembly side turn mirror.

  8. Remove the side view camera assembly. (Model with side view camera)
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the screws, and remove the side view camera assembly.
