Push Button Ignition Switch: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the panel assembly center. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTOR CLUSTER>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the panel start switch.
    1. Release the claws, and pull out the panel start switch.

    2. Disconnect the connectors and remove the panel start switch.
  5. Release the claws, and remove the push button start switch.
