INTRODUCTION

This bulletin announces the availability of reprogramming files developed to address cases of P060694 (Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Processor Unexpected Operation) detected by the Motor EV Control ECU. When in EV mode, and the gear selector is manually shifted to the drive selection "D", if "Power Mode" is selected and driven from a parked position using the Advanced Parking System, DTC P060694 may become inaccurately detected. This is caused by a discrepancy in the torque monitoring program. The new files contain enhanced software to optimize torque monitoring. If DTC P060694 is detected, refer to the reprogramming procedures outlined below.

SERVICE PROCEDURE/INFORMATION

Reprogram the EV Control Unit ECU following the normal GTS + reprogramming procedures. Detailed information regarding the GTS + reprograming procedures can be found in TSB 14-30-24. 

WARRANTY/CLAIM INFORMATION

For vehicles within the Basic New Car Limited Warranty period or covered by an active SAS Classic or SAS Gold, this repair may be submitted using the following claim information:

IMPORTANT: Always note the original Calibration Identification number (CID)/ROMID the vehicle came in with on the repair order before reprogramming and, make sure to list the NEW  CID/ROMID for any newly installed programming (as confirmed from the actual control module AFTER  installation). The NEW  CID/ROMID MUST also be noted on the repair order as this information is required for entry in the Miscellaneous Detail field during claim submission. These numbers can be read using GTS+.
