Wide Angle Mono Camera: Removal

CAUTION:
  • The wide angle mono camera is a precision equipment. Therefore, when it is removed, installed or temporarily stored, be sure to protect it with dust-free paper such as copy paper. (New wide angle mono camera is equipped with a protective sheet.)
  • When the wide angle mono camera, lens hood assembly, or windshield glass has been replaced or removed/reinstalled, always perform the adjustment and inspection of the wide angle mono camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>WIDE ANGLE MONO CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION .
  • Do not apply any impact to the wide angle mono camera. Even the slightest shock will deviate the optical axis of the camera, resulting in the loss of normal operation of the camera.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the cover assembly wide angle mono camera.
    CAUTION: Do not apply any impact to the wide angle mono camera.
    1. Pull the cover assembly wide angle mono camera rearward.
    2. Release the clips, and remove the cover assembly wide angle mono camera.
    CAUTION: When the cover assembly wide angle mono camera is hot due to the heater's heat, wait for a while before starting the work.

  3. Remove the wide angle mono camera.
    CAUTION:
    • Avoid hitting the wide angle mono camera.
    • Do not touch the lens. If they are accidentally touched, or dirt or dust is accumulated on them, be sure to replace the wide angle mono camera.

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. While pulling the wide angle mono camera rearward, slowly release the engagement of the clip and guide on one side at a time, and remove the wide angle mono camera.

    3. Attach dust-free paper (a) such as copy paper to the wide angle mono camera.
CAUTION:
  • Attach dust-free paper such as copy paper so that it does not interfere with the lens and lens tube of the wide angle mono camera. Make sure that the fixing tape does not touch the lens and lens tube.
  • Place the wide angle mono camera with the printed side facing down without applying any impact to the camera.
