WARNING:
When performing inspection mode AN on a public road, pay sufficient attention to the traffic condition and give the highest priority to safe driving.
NOTE:
- Perform the inspection mode after warming up the engine except that the engine coolant temperature at engine start is specified.
- Even if switched to the hybrid battery save mode under the following conditions, the engine may not start.
- Power from HV battery is low and reduction in SOC is slight.
- SOC is recovering due to regeneration, etc.
- Check that the battery voltage is 12 V or more and fuel remains approx. half [20 - 40 L (5.3 - 10.6 US gal, 4.4 - 8.8 Imp gal)].
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Engine]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Drive according to the drive pattern described below.
(1) 0 km/h (0 MPH) (2) 60 km/h (37 MPH) (3) 88 km/h (55 MPH) (4) Vehicle speed km/h (MPH) (5) Sec. (A) Press the hybrid mode switch to switch to the hybrid battery save mode. (B) Wait until the engine stalls during idling. (Engine coolant temperature is 80°C (176°F) or more) (C) Accelerate with the throttle half-open to 88 km/h (55 MPH) or more. (D) Drive for 20 seconds or more at 88 km/h (55 MPH) or more. (E) Decelerate with fully closed throttle to 60 km/h (40 MPH). (F) Drive for 20 seconds or more at 60 km/h (40 MPH) or less. (G) Accelerate with the throttle half-open to 88 km/h (55 MPH) or more. (H) Stop vehicle with the throttle fully closed. - Read the pending code using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
