Parking Pawl: Installation

  1. Install a new E-ring (C) to the parking pawl shaft (B).
  2. Install the parking pawl (D), E-ring (C), parking pawl shaft (B), and parking pawl shaft spring (A).

  3. Install the parking rod.

  4. Install the parking actuator support.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.3 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.4 ft-lb)

  5. Shift the manual plate (A) to "P range" and check that the parking pawl (B) locks the rear planetary gear.

  6. Shift the manual plate to "N range".
  7. Install the control valve body. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>CONTROL VALVE BODY>INSTALLATION>CONTROL VALVE BODY .
  8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  9. Fill ATF. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID>INSPECTION>FILL ATF .
