DTC P0613: TCM Processor: Notes

DTC detecting condition:  Immediately at fault recognition

Trouble symptom:  Improper gear shifting

CAUTION: After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform the last step of the basic diagnostic procedure. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Transmission]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    2. Read the DTC of [Transmission] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC P0613 displayed?

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No:  Current condition is normal. Check for interference from noise, etc.

  2. CHECK DTC  .

    Read the DTC of [Transmission] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Besides DTC P0613, is any of DTC U0073, U0100 U0122, U0401, U0416, U1C00, U1C07, U1D00, U1D07, U1E00 or U1E07 displayed?

    Yes:  Perform the diagnosis according to DTCs other than P0613. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .

    No:  Go to  3.

  3. CHECK DTC  .

    Check the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY>INSPECTION .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes:  Replace the TCM. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .

    No:  Charge or replace the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY .
