Check Brake Override System Operation History
- CHECK BOS OPERATION HISTORY

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the BOS operation history ([Number of Operations Brake Override System Control], [Vehicle Odometer Reading at the time of detecting the Brake Override System], and [IG counter at the time of detecting the Brake Override System]).NOTE: For detailed operation procedures, refer to "Common (Diagnostics)". Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
Is there a BOS operation history?
Yes: Compare the conditions of malfunction occurrence obtained from the interview and the BOS operation history. If poor acceleration due to the BOS operation is possible, provide the user with advice.
NOTE: When there is an operation history, it is possible that the accelerator pedal and brake pedal were depressed simultaneously, and the BOS was operated.No: Go to 2.

Check the engine. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
Is the check result OK?
Yes:
- For AT model: Go to 3.
- For MT model. finish the diagnosis.
No: Repair the defective part.
